OLI COMETES?
THE HEART AND THE HANDS OF OLI COMETES
We are Neus and Martin —economists by profession and farmers by conviction— and we could say that this project is the result of a change of direction in life, sought and desired. After many years working as economists in the business and banking sector in Barcelona, amidst the noise, the rush and the tight schedules, one day we looked at each other and knew that it was time to live differently. With our daughter already emancipated and living abroad, we decided to take a step forward: leave urban life behind and begin a new stage more rooted in the land. ll. This is how we discovered Finca les Cometes in 2015. It was an overcast day, with thick fog, and we could hardly see beyond two meters. But even so, the place spoke to us. We couldn't say if it was the peace that was breathed there, the energy that the land transmitted or the silence that enveloped everything, but we knew that this place would be our home. The second visit was decisive: we fell in love with the farm and and we knew that our new project based on biodynamics, a 100% environmentally friendly agricultural system, would begin there. And you may ask... why biodynamics? Well, Martin has German roots (his mother is) and he already knew how it works since in Germany there are supermarkets that only and exclusively sell biodynamic products with Demeter certification. The goal is to convey and offer this awareness of producing a totally healthy product. Since then, we have dedicated ourselves body and soul to transforming the farm into a living space, where biodynamic agriculture guides every step and decision. We don't just produce oil—we take care of the land, preserve its balance, and share what we learn from it with everyone who visits us. Oil tourism is part of this spirit: opening the doors of our home so that you can be a part of it, even if it's just for a few hours. At Oli Cometes you will find Arbequina olive trees, silence, nature in its purest form... and a welcome that we give with all our heart. If you come, we will be delighted to show you how we transform Arbequina olives into high-quality biodynamic olive oil. But we don't do all this alone. We are surrounded by a team that is much more than that: they are friends, accomplices, chosen family. Each one throws themselves into it with passion and a lot of dedication, and this is noticeable in every detail.

Together we form Oli Cometes, a place where oil is much more than a product: it is a way of living, of loving the land and opening the doors to anyone who wants to discover it with us.

Martin
He is the head of the estate, the restless and persistent mind behind all this machinery. He hung up his tie and calculator to climb onto the tractor and grab the hoe with both hands. He never tires of observing, experimenting and learning. He has an almost scientific passion for biodynamics, but he explains it with a simplicity and energy that make everything closer. He knows every corner of the farm as if it were his home —because it is— and he walks through it again and again, looking at the olive trees with the eyes of a friend: knowing what they need, what they have left over and how to accompany them following the natural rhythm of the land.
Neus
She is the heart of Oli Cometes. Although he has not completely abandoned his financial side (someone has to keep the numbers and deal with the day-to-day “paperwork”!), she is much more than that. She has a special sensitivity to connect with people and make them feel at home. When she talks to you about oil, biodynamic treatments or even the lunar phases, she does so with such passion that you are inspired to learn more. She has the gift of getting noticed without making a fuss, and if you are not careful, she will sell you all the oil with a smile and a knowing look.
Anna
She is the youngest member of the team, but she has put her heart and soul into it since day one. A publicist by profession, she arrived to launch the oleotourism project and has been part of the family ever since. She has a sweet energy and a connection with the land that is noticeable. With her, visits are experienced with emotion, because she not only explains, but also makes you feel. She has a keen eye for seeing beauty even in the most hidden corners and transforms each image, each text and each communication detail into a window into the soul of the estate. She is the one who gives voice and shape to everything we do: on the web, on the networks and in every experience we offer.
A HISTORY ROOTED IN THE EARTH
We are a small family business located 4 km from Cervià de Les Garrigues, dedicated exclusively to olive trees and committed to the production of an extra virgin olive oil of the highest quality. We work with dry-land olive trees and arranged in extensive areas and with an estate that combines cultivation and wild nature.
The project was born by selling olives to the cooperative, but over time we created our own brand: Oli Cometes. We are committed to organic and biodynamic agriculture, with DEMETER certification, and we produce our oils on the same farm to preserve all its value.
For us, oil is much more than a food: it is culture, territory and a way of living with respect and conscience. Once you know the history rooted in our project, we invite you to meet the great protagonists of this story.
WE ARE ECOLOGICAL AND BIODYNAMIC
The term "biodynamics" comes from the Greek bios (life) and dynamis (force) and means that this method works in accordance with the energies of life. A supposedly correct relationship between man and the earth is sought, trying to ensure the health of the soil and plants. This mode of production and processing of oil and other products is based on terrestrial and cosmic rhythms.

It is the agriculture that uses the least chemicals and where human intervention is the most respectful of the environment and the one that follows the rhythms and cycles of nature the most.
We are committed to biodynamic agriculture to go beyond organic farming: we respect natural cycles, work with our own preparations and see the earth as a living organism.
We reduce the use of chemicals and pesticides to zero, replacing them with biodynamic preparations (minerals) and vegetable infusions made on the farm itself. We maintain a living, healthy and fertile soil.
We promote coexistence between forest and agriculture, without plowing or eroding the soil, we do not generate C02. We work with gentle and respectful techniques, instead of plowing, we chop the herbs.
We follow a biodynamic calendar that tells us when to fertilize, prune, harvest and grind according to lunar and cosmic cycles, in order to enhance the vital energy of the oil and the earth.
